What have I been up to? Publishing two books!

It has been quite a while since I last posted to Xomba. I admit, I've been so busy I almost forgot I had this account. So what has kept me away for so long? Well, my friends, I've published two books (my firsts) on Amazon.com
The first is a children's fiction I wrote in memory of my cat, Samu, who passed away. Samu was the type of cat that even those who were allergic, or just didn't like cats, fell in love with him. Everybody loved Samu, and I wanted to somehow immortalize his generous spirit in a book that children could enjoy. So far, The Cat Who Wanted to be a Reindeer has been a success. Children all over the world seem to love Samu and appreciate my meager illustrative talents. I may not be an artist, but I'm the only one who could capture the essense of this fine feline.
The success of The Cat Who...leads me to the idea of continuing on with a series of stories featuring Samu visiting other countries and learning new cultures and words. I can't think of a better way to continue to show my love for him than to share him with children and help teach them about new places.
The second book, Harvest, is a Sci-fi short story. Inspired by a true story (the details of which are given in the prologue), Harvest has done very well. I'm quite the science fiction enthusiast so it goes without saying that I'm currently working on a second sci-fi story; a full length novel title "The Maze".
Both books are availabe in both paperback and digital editions for Kindle on Amazon.com. In between all this fiction fun, I've been writing as the senior editor for FashionErotica Magazine, NY, and running PR for West Coast Leather out of San Francisco while still maintaining my status as a freelance journalist in San Antonio and as a contributor for Examiner.com.
Now that I've re-discovered my Xomba account, I shall visit here more often, and I hope they run another Halloween short story contest! Fall is my favorite season, and October is my favorite month! As I recall, I won a Halloween short story contest here once before.... Let's see if we can prod the powers that be into giving us all the opportunity to contribute a spooky tale or two for those of us who have a love of the macabre!
